Questions
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?
No. Six details are all the quote tool requires: your gender, date of birth, health status, tobacco use, the death benefit amount you want, and your preferred term length. These six items are sufficient for carriers to provide their quotes. Your personal information—name, address, and medical history—is requested only if you elect to apply.
Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?
The rates displayed are what each carrier quotes for the health class you indicated when you answered the questions. The carrier will establish your actual premium following their underwriting process, which may raise, lower, or confirm the class level. Nothing presented here constitutes an insurance offer or a guarantee of any specific rate.
What happens when I click Apply?
You move into the carriers' secure application environment with all your previous responses already filled in. You have the option to pause and resume your application at any time, and the signature process is completely online. Susman Insurance Agency, a California-licensed agency (License 0B75129), oversees all applications.
Will I need a medical exam?
The necessity depends on the specific carrier, the coverage amount you select, and your health answers. Multiple carriers now offer instant approval for qualified candidates without an exam. The quote detail for each product specifies whether an exam is required, may be needed, or is not required.
Is a longer term better?
A term length should match when your household would face financial hardship if you passed away: a home loan, dependent children, or a business liability. Longer terms cost more monthly but provide rate security for more years. This site's quote tool enables side-by-side comparison of 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30-year options.
Does this site sell my information?
No. The rate tool doesn't require your name, phone or email to see rates. We don't sell data and don't share it. Our first-party counter honors Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control headers, but the site also includes a cookieless page-view beacon from our content delivery provider that does not read those headers. The privacy page has all the details.
